Tomer Shushi, PhD

I am a Senior Lecturer (Tenured) at the Guilford Glazer Faculty of Business and Management in the Department of Business Administration, and a member of the Center for Quantum Science and Technology, both at Ben-Gurion University, Israel. I am also a co-founder and the Head of the Actuarial Science and Risk Management program at the University.

My research has been focused on two directions: (1) Mathematical models and methodologies for Risk Analysis, Data Analysis, and Actuarial Science, and

(2) Theoretical Physics, studying Quantum Foundations and out-of-the-spectra phenomena in Quantum Mechanics.

I did my Post Doc. in the Department of Physics at Ben-Gurion University, focusing on the foundations of Quantum Mechanics (2016-2018).  Before that, I completed my (direct) Ph.D. at Haifa University, focusing on risk measures and loss probability distributions (2013-2016).
